K-Structures™ Steel Roof Truss System

The flexibility of K-Structures™ Steel Roof Truss System can be designed to suit the requirements of nearly any architectural layout. With the varied design trends of the industry and ever more emphasis on quality performance from clients, our K-Structures™ Steel Roof Truss System stands out. Being one of the first few pioneer companies specialising in light gauge steel in Malaysia has not only humbled us but has pushed us to achieve greater heights.

The materials used for the K-Structures™ Steel Roof Truss System comprises components made from prime grade Hi-Tensile G550 galvanised iron steel (GI) or aluminium/zinc alloy coated steel (Aluzinc or Zincalume®). With our quality system procedure in place to ensure all products sent out fulfil our criteria, no compromises are made in this respect. The material specification complies to JIS G3302 SGCH or AS 1397 and MS 1196 standards. The minimum Yield Strength for this category of material is 550MPa with the zinc coating class of Z275 or aluminium/zinc alloy coating class AZ150. The K-Structures™ sections are fabricated in our manufacturing facility and assembly is done on site. Assembly of the trusses only requires self-drilling screws and are positioned in accordance to K-Structures™ approved shop drawings.

The thickness of materials used shall depend on the design requirements. For K-Structures™ C-sections, the material thickness can range from 0.75mm BMT to 1.20mm BMT (for G550 materials) and 1.60mm BMT to 2.00mm BMT (for G450 materials) whereas the roof battens' thickness are 0.50mm BMT and 0.60mm BMT. All K-Structures™ in-house engineering division designs in accordance to BS 5950 Part 5: Code Of Practice For Design Of Cold-Formed Section.

With the thin gauge truss components framing the trusses, the K-Structures™ Steel Roof Truss System is very light, durable and dimensionally stable, offering superior performance in both strength and corrosion protection, resulting in cost saving for the foundation design. All K-Structures™ trusses can be easily handled and installed with minimum manpower. In addition, K-Structures™ is recognised by the Construction Industry Development Board of Malaysia (CIDB) as one of the approved Industrialized Building System (IBS) Status Company.

Advantages of using K-Structures™ Building System

  • A durable and long lasting roof structure
  • No coating, painting or treatment required on the steel components as in the case of mild steel or timber. Construction period is thus reduced including cost saving and workmanship consistency
  • All roof structures are based on 'Design & Build' concept, hence providing an "ALL IN ONE" building solution to our client
  • All design and shop drawings are endorsed by a Professional Engineer
  • Quality control on products is guaranteed prior to delivering of materials to site
  • Simple fastening/installation method allows for minimum manpower and rapid installation time frame
  • No welding works which leads to minimum wastage, creating a neater environment
  • Pre-designed Truss Layout ensures framework and whole assembly arrangements of trusses are carried out in detail
  • Steel sections are consistently straight with minimum warping hence resulting in better quality finish and superior performance
  • Free from termite attack and material decomposition as in organic timber
  • Material perforation with structural performance warranty gives you piece of mind for years to come
  • Timely site inspections ensures connections are correctly constructed in accordance to design requirements
